Pre-Order

With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

Returns and Exchanges– for electric bikes and accessories

If you need to cancel the order or make an exchange under the distance selling regulations you must notify us within 14 days of receiving the item after which you will have a further 14 days to return the item. To do so please download the return form, complete it and include with the returned item. It couldn't be easier. We will process your exchange/refund as soon as we receive and open your return.

Items must be returned to the store you bought it from or your nearest store if purchased online. Shipping costs are paid by the buyer and are non refundable. If shipping costs are subsidised the actual shipping costs incurred will be recovered from the original payment before any refund is issued. Any charges incurred by us will be recouped before a final eachange or refund value is settled.

Refunds can only be made to the original card used for payment and if not known or available then we can at best offer a store credit to be used against future purchases.

Items must be returned in their original condition complete with all packaging, manuals, labels etc.

Custom, customised and special orders cannot be cancelled or returned. Riese & Muller eBikes are always configured to customer specifications and are therefore special orders and sales are final.

Used eBike Returns - We don't want you to be stuck with a bike you don't feel is right and so we accept returns for used bikes up to 28 days after purchase on the following conditions: 1. The condition is like new 2. All components and component packaging are present 3. Our actual costs (not the subsidised amount you may have paid) for shipping, customisations and £10/mile of use will be charged for (minimum £100) along with a £50 restocking fee. 4. Used eBikes can only be exchanged and not refunded and this is entirely at our discretion.

Faulty Items
Faults - If your order arrives damaged or developes a fault we will use our wealth of experience as the UKs' very first ebike specialist to solve the issue quickly for you. Based on our support call history less than 16% of cases have required a visit to one of our stores. You can return a faulty item for a full refund within 30 days after which we reserve the right to have the opportunity to repair any faults. If you need any assistance we are here to help (even out of hours) simply contact, your nearest store or use our contact form.

Opened eBike Parts

We cannot accept returned eBike parts if the packaging has been opened. This is because components connected to faulty bikes may be damaged. To avoid disappointment we have a no nonsense professional diagnosis service available at all of our stores for a very reasonable set fee.

Easily installs to the most popular Crank Drive e-Bike systems. The maximum speed will vary depending on the system and the e-bike, although we have seen maximum speeds in excess of 31mph.

What eGroupset does the Badasse-Bike Dongle work with? 

THIS QUICK AND EASY SOLUTION CAN BE FITTED TO THE YAMAHA AND GIANT SYSTEMS.

How does the tuning dongle fit?

This versatile little dongle can be easily fitted in a matter of seconds. In three easy steps. Slide the device over the Magnetic Speed sensor, usually located on the left lower chainstay of your e-Bike. Swap the standard phillips headed screw on the Magnet, located on a spoke in the rear wheel, with the new butterfly headed screw provided to easily move it around. Relocate the Magnet into the location shown in the Manual. It couldn't be any simpler.  If you have a restricted amount of space between the sensor and the spokes of less than 10mm, you may be required to fit the mounting bracket. Removing the dongle will return your e-Bike to its legal restricted speed.

Where can I use the speed tuning device?

This bit is important so please read. Current UK law will only allow you to use this device on PRIVATE LAND where you have the OWNERS PERMISSION. Fitting this device and using anywhere other than private land is AGAINST THE LAW. If used anywhere else, you will be doing so at your own risk. The Electric Transport Shop Ltd assumes no liability for any damage to property and / or injury to persons caused by improper use of this product. Please note we will never fit these devices and test rides are not available at our stores.

 

Customers from outside the UK are responsible for checking laws that apply locally and abiding by those laws. 

Can derestricting my e-Bike, cause problems?

Although we have had no reported technical issues due to using this dongle by using it you risk voiding your manufacturer warranties. We will continue to offer the free labour warranty that we offer with all e-bikes bought from us but if your e-bike manafacturer discovers a way to tell that you have unlocked your electric bike system they may void your bike warranty.

Shimano - Update to firmware version 4.7 causes problems for derestriction. We advise that you do not update if you have an earlier version and wish to use this product.

 

ATTENTION!

The badass tuning Box must not be used on public roads or in areas subject to the application of the Highway Code!

Use is restricted to private land, with the owners permission.We will never fit the Badasse-Bike Device for you. 

The installation of the badass Chiptuning Box can lead to loss of warranty of the e-bike.

The use of this product may legally invalidate any safety certifications of the bike and by using it you accept liability for your safety and those around you.
