SpeedBox 2 for Yamaha
SpeedBox 2.0 chip enables to suppress the speed limiter on your electric bike. After the chip is installed your e-bike’s display shows real data, such as maximum and average speed, daily mileage and cruising range.
How to use the SpeedBox 2.0 Yamaha
SpeedBox 2.0 chip is activated on your e-bike’s display by pressing the WALK or LIGHT button. Displays of e-bikes produced between 2017-2018 show the speed of 9.9 km/h (6.1 mph) after pressing the button. From now on you can ride at a speed of - 40 km/h, 50 km/h or even more than 60 km/h.
Displays of e-bikes produced in 2019 show a speed of 9 km/h (6 mph). From now on you can ride at a speed - 40 km/h, 50 km/h or even more than 60 km/h.
To deactivate the tuning kit, press the WALK or LIGHT button again. The speed limit of 25 km/h is reset. Your e-bike will then work the same as before chip installation.
If you want to control your SpeedBox and lights separately, use the combination of ↑↓↑↓ buttons. By pressing the arrows in that order you can activate and disactivate SpeedBox anytime independently of the lights control.
SpeedBox was also designed for e-bikes that do not have a classic control unit with Walk button. In this case you can just use the combination of arrows ↑ ↓ ↑ ↓ and SpeedBox will be activated. You can easily deactivate SpeedBox in the same way.
